Jana Cesarano, Owner/Creative Director

Jana started her career as a hairstylist more than 30 years ago, after attending Brunos School of Hair Design in Toronto, following a passion for hair styling and fashion she had as a young girl. As a hairstylist in Toronto for many years, Jana met her partner and husband Tony while working together at Hair Dynasty.

Jana continues to enjoy honing her skills on a regular basis by taking advanced classes. Learning from masters like Angelo Seminara, Anna Pacitto and Daniel Benoit have been both amazing and enriching opportunities. She believes that you never stop learning and growing as a hair stylist.

Tony Cesarano, Owner/Creative Director

Tony was 16 years old when he decided to follow in his brother’s footsteps to become a hair stylist. More than 30  years later, he hasn’t looked back. After graduating from Marca College in Toronto, he went to work with the first of many mentors in his long career, which includes competing in hair competitions and working backstage at hairshows.

Tony’s precision cutting techniques and artistic abilities are only some of the things that make him such a talented hair stylist… as his clients know so well.

Toni Mcbeath, Senior Stylist

Toni arrived in North Bay by way of England, and while in her senior year of high school decided to pursue her interest in hair styling by doing a co-op at Vida Salon, in conjunction with Modern College of Hair Styling. That was in 2009 and since then Toni has become an extremely talented and driven stylist, who has gained valuable experience and exhibits high levels of client care.

During her time at Vida, Toni has completed many courses  including the space specialist program between 2017 and 2020 with  Davines. Throughout her training she brought back and shared her knowledge to the rest of the team. Currently, as well as keeping up with trends through virtual education,  Toni continues to expand her knowledge and is currently focused on learning about  various  scalp conditions and hair integrity in order to further help her clients needs.

Since her start at Vida, Toni has become a mom to two beautiful boys who keep her very busy outside of the salon!

Stylists

Brooke Boulanger, Stylist

Born and raised in North Bay, Brooke decided to pursue a career in Hairstyling and enrolled at Modern College of Hairstyling in the fall of 2017.  After graduating at the top of her class she earned her place at Vida Salon and in 2018 started apprenticing under Creative Directors Tony and Jana.

After completing her apprenticeship Brooke achieved her goal and became a licensed stylist in 2020. Since then, Brooke has been busy building her clientele and continuing her education to expand her knowledge and skills. Brooke loves to create “blissful blends” of colour on her clients, transforming people with great haircuts,  and doing bombshell blowouts.

Gillian Palmer, Stylist

Gillian joined the Vida team in September of 2021 after spending five years starting her career in southern Ontario. She trained at Valentino’s Academy in Whitby and completed her apprenticeship at Erin Melinda Hair Studio in Pickering Village,  where she gained invaluable skills  in all facets of hair styling,  cutting , and colouring. Gillian loves developing  beautiful blondes and getting creative with fun colours.

Outside of the salon Gillian enjoys spending time with her friends and family,  practicing yoga, and trying new foods.

New Talent

Lead by creative directors Tony and Jana, our newest members of the Vida Salon team receive ongoing education and hands on training while offering clients the Vida standard at entry level pricing.

Kyleigh Decost, Stylist

Kyleigh graduated Valedictorian of her class at Modern College and began her apprenticeship with Vida under the guidance of Tony and Jana.  Kyleigh became licensed in December 2022 and is ready to put her skills to good use.

Kyleigh’s personality and enthusiasm is  infectious, and  along with her talent she has settled in well to the Vida team. Her love for the environment translates to her love of hair and the Davines products align with her views.

As a stylist, Kyleigh finds it very rewarding when she is able to see how happy her work makes her clients feel.

Vida Salon is happy to have Kyleigh as one of our new talent and we  look forward to helping her achieve her goals!

Katie Sawyer, Apprentice

Katie has joined the Vida team to learn from the ground up! Her interest in hair and esthetics, as well as fashion has guided her to explore her interests with us to further explore hairdressing as a career! Katies’s enthusiasm and hard work is a welcome addition, and she looks forward to interacting with our guests to help enhance the experience at Vida.
